It's my own fault

Season's Greetings,

Day 3 as a freelance writer! Don't worry. I'm not going to count everyday, but I don't know when I'll stop.

After watching many YouTube videos on getting started as a freelance writer, I've learned something very important: If I fail and don't make money as a writer, it's my own fault.

But! I have no professional experience, so first thing's first: Build a portfolio!

Wow, a portfolio! Doesn't that sound fancy?

The wise writers on YouTube said to start writing articles on topics that interest me. So, I researched a few different articles on different topics. One thing I found is if I was reading something I was interested it, the article still was boring, or misleading. That gave me confidence, because I already know I'm a better writer than that. I apologize if that comes off as arrogant.

I started off with an article about the ten most famous ghost. It turns out it was about fictional ghost from books and movies. I don't care about fictional ghosts. I care about nonfictional ghosts! I read a few more articles, but realized I already know most of the information I was reading. So, I moved onto a different topic.

Entertainment news! Who doesn't love all the hot, dripping wet celebrity gossip? Me. Fuck those people. Except for the ones I like. I tried finding entertainment sites that mocked celebrities without much luck. Most of it is celebrity worship. Yucky. I found an old site I used to visit when I was in school, but was lesser than it used to be. It seems the original owner sold the site. I hope for a good price, because his legacy is tarnished now. Whoever he may be.

So, I decided to make my own celebrity mockery! I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with that.

As we all know the internet has the background noise of billions of people screaming from their soap boxes. So, as I was doing research, I found that there are people who think all vaccines cause Autism. Not a new take, but at least in the 90's they claimed only certain vaccines cause Autism.

I'm not here to talk about the in's and out's of vaccines. I have no idea. I'm not a doctor. If I was, I wouldn't be writing a blog and publishing it to the void that is the internet. I'd probably be playing doctor with my smokin' receptionist in the exam room. Relax! I'm single in that scenario.

Anyways, all I know is that I was vaccinated as a child and I'm about 95% healthy. My brother was vaccinated as well, but he has Autism. Curious...

My brother has Autism and an intellectual disability (formerly known as Mental Retardation [formerly known as retarded]). He suffered a head injury as an infant. So, I think to myself: Did his brain injury cause the Autism? The intellectual disability, for sure, but what about the Autism? I know people are born with it, but can it be caused by brain injury?

That question is really just for me, but I'm sure I'll learn the answer when I research the links between Autism and vaccines. That's what I'm starting with. I think it's an interesting topic and I have an extensive knowledge on the condition. But not the cause(s)...

That's all for today! I need to get started on my research. Bye!
